In what appears to be throwing political jabs, hard-hitting Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has come to the rescue of embattled Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro in the unlikeliest of ways.
Moments after the legislator refused to exit Innoro Tv studios following reports of an impending arrest, several MPs allied to the TangaTanga movement thronged the station in solidarity.
Alice Wahome : Ndindi will sleep here (at Royal Media Services Ltd).
If the police need him, we will present him tomorrow in broad daylight. We will not present him to people we do not know#SundayLive pic.twitter.com/xhMsHVFL7W

It is while addressing the press during this standoff that Kandara MP Alice Wahome would allege that a ploy had been hatched in Muranga to eliminate MP Nyoro and herself.
But on his part, Senator Murkomen gave nominated MP Maina Kamanda a public dress-down after it emerged his scuffle with Nyoro could have caused the standoff at Inooro studio.
In his rant, Murkomen told off Kamanda who chairs the National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity Committee to lie low as “his credentials are questionable.”
Murkomen proceded to state that police should arrest Kamanda for ‘sowing division instead of cultivating cohesion.’
Murkomen would go further along to discredit Kamanda as unworthy for a nomination, saying he does not meet all the check-boxes.
“…He is not a woman, he is not a person with a disability, he is not from a marginalised community, he is not youth…” he stated.
Murkomen sensationally claimed that a person as old as Kamanda should desist from stirring strife with a leader young enough to be his grandson.

In his hideout Sunday evening, MP Nyoro spoke to the press alleging that Kamanda was using the police service to fight his political battles with him.
The visibly shaken MP would urge Kamanda to be tolerant of divergent political opinions.
“In Kenya, we need political tolerance especially when you are politically overwhelmed, desist from using the police but solve the differences politically..” MP Nyoro asserted.
It's interesting how times change😂😂Just the other day when he was overwhelmed with power, #NdindiNyoro asked Uhuru TO SUSPEND the constitution and rule with IRON FIST.
Today, it's the same Nyoro crying foul over intolerance. wow!😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/obNHgX2w13— Mason OVO (@masonOVO1) September 9, 2019
