Joash Onyango out of his depth

The Gor Mahia defender almost gifted the visitors a goal in the first ten minutes after his misplaced pass found Emmanuel Okwi but luckily, Matasi saved. Joash was left kissing the grass for Uganda’s goal as he simply could not live with their pace in the first half.

He did show some improvements in the first half but on the basis of this game, he does not deserve to start in the next Harambee Stars match.

Ayub Timbe is a gem

The winger was Harambee Stars shining light even in the first half when things were really dull for Francis Kimanzi’s team. Timbe was a constant threat all game and got the assist for Kenya’s equalizer in the second half.

He created an outlet for our defenders and loads of chances for Micheal Olunga who should have at least put one of them away. Ayub Timbe has to be the first name on the team sheet!

Kasarani Stadium not looking good

A quick glance at the playing turf at the Kasarani stadium an one cannot help but notice how bad it looks. The grass is dry and does not even cover the whole pitch.

Players were falling all over especially in the first half and if the same continues, the stadium will need to be closed for renovations. Something needs to happen or else we will lose the only FIFA recognized and fully functioning stadium in Nairobi!
