President Uhuru Makes Major Reorganization to His Government

Statehouse Spokesperson Kanze Dena announces President Uhuru’s reorganization of his Cabinet.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday reshuffled his government with Principal Secretaries (PSs) on the receiving end of the new changes.

In a statement that has been released by Statehouse Spokesperson Kanze Dena, Nine PSs will be heading to different ministries in the reorganization.

Among the affected include Principal Secretary Maj. Gen (Rtd) Gordon Kihalangwa who has been moved from the State Department for Defense to State Department for Public Works.

Ms Betty Maina from the State Department for Industrialization has been transferred to the State Department for Environment and Forestry.

Dr Francis Owino from State Department for Public Service has been moved to the State Department for Industrialization.

Mr Julius Korir from State Department for Infrastructure will head to the State Department for Public Service.

Dr Fred K Segor from State Department for Irrigation will take over the State Department for Wildlife Services.

Dr Ibrahim Mohamed from the State Department for Environment and Forestry will now be in charge of the State Department for Defense

Prof Paul Maringa from State Department for Public Works has been moved to the State Department for Infrastructure.

Prof Hamadi Boga from State Department of Agricultural Research will now head the newly merged State Department Crop Development with the State Department for Agricultural Research to create the State Department for Crop Development and Agricultural Research.

According to Kanze, the new changes are aimed at enhancing efficiency in service delivery. 

The changes take effect immediately.
