They say that it takes a village to raise a child meaning that we all have to actively participate in helping children grow to be the best version of themselves.
While some people prefer to play this role from a distance others like these celebrities have opened their homes to children in need.
To start us off is:
Caroline Mutoko
Miss Mutoko is a mother to two adopted children, Theodore Nduku and a little boy who is about 1 year 7 months. Many didn’t know she had a son but she surprised us by dropping this gem during a conversation with speech therapist Lorna Muthamia Ochido.
“My housekeeper used to say that the first words my son would say are Nduku and I used to laugh at her. Sure enough, when the boy uttered his first words, he said Nduku as ‘kuku’,” she revealed during the conversation.
Shaffie Weru
The radio god is a father of four. He has 2 biological children and 2 adopted ones a boy and a girl.
“I now have four kids. I have two adopted kids and two of my own. I adopted a girl recently so I have one adopted son and one adopted girl,” Shaffie told Pulse Live

Saumu Mbuvi
Sonko’s eldest daughter recently adopted a baby girl from Angel at Hearts Children’s home.
Saumu broke the news with a post that read, “Yesterday I met such a beautiful Angel at Hearts Children’s home, a child so pure and innocent but what she has gone through left me so broken and in tears. I agreed and vowed that she will be my Responsibility and a new member of my family for the rest of my life. I’m so happy that I’m going to be a mother to such a beautiful soul…May God guide and protect this little Angel for me always.🙏🏽”
Mike Sonko
Philanthropy runs in the Sonko family as the Nairobi Governor has adopted 3 children; Jannetta Nyamu, Gift and Satrine Osinya who lost their mum to a terrorist attack at the Joy in Jesus International Ministry church in Likoni, Mombasa.
