Football star McDonald Mariga has shocked the public follwing his decision to contest for the vacant Kibra constituency seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.

The seat fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth who succumbed in August after a long battle with Cancer.

The former Harambee Stars midfielder currently serves as the face to betting company Betin Kenya and there are concerns over his suitability for the role as he is not a known Kibra native.
