Kenyan Premier League side Mathare United have received a massive boost a few days after the season 2019/20 began. Through their official social media page, the club has confirmed the extension of their partnership with Italian Sportswear Company, Errea.

According to the club, the club chairman Bob Munro and CEO Jecton Obure met with Errea’s export manager Africa, Carlo Stronati and Errea’s agent in Kenya Gichu Wahome in a fruitful meeting that will see an enhanced co-operation.

Mathare United have donned Errea jerseys in its official matches since 2009 and the partnership will improve from the 2019/20 season onwards.

The Salim Ali-led side is among 73 football clubs globally that benefit from Errea’s services.

In 1988, Errea became the first Italian sportswear company to be accredited with the Oeko-tex standard certification since they produce garments textiles that are free from harmful chemicals.

Apart from football, the Italian company also sponsors sporting teams and activities like cycling, basketball, rugby, and volleyball.
