For many people, their ex is an unwelcome presence in their lives and run-ins can be awkward or absolutely agonizing.
It’s something that one would rather be done with in a jiffy. But what happens when your ex becomes a co-worker, a sort of permanent fixture in your life?
Well, that’s the situation Nick Mutuma found himself in his new movie ‘You Again’.
Mr Nick plays the role of Kingsley who has been bumming at home due to unemployment much to the chagrin of his father. He finally catches a break and lands a job as a news anchor alongside…you guessed it, his ex is played by the gorgeous Mimi Mars.
So how does one maintain poise and grace in such a situation? Well if you keep your eyes peeled on Nick’s page you will get to know as the movie is set for release soon.

You Again
‘You again’ is the first release under Giraffe Africa Productions, a production company in Nairobi ran by Nick Mutuma and Dolapo Adeleke, also known as LowlaDee, a Nigerian filmmaker.
Bringing this film to life was a tall order for the company and in Nick’s own words, they took a lot of L’s.
Speaking ahead of the film’s release, Nick stated “It’s been a little over a year since I moved back home from the US, and tbh I don’t think I’ve ever taken as many L’s in my life like I have in this one year😂😂… OK maybe I’m exaggerating. Back to the story. I came back inspired by what I saw out there; I had some unique ideas, and a desire to create, and tell youthful urban stories from Kenya/Africa to the world… in a funky way. I wanted to shoot ads, and make movies like my mentors. So a friend and I set up @shotbygiraffe and began to work our way up from scratch. It’s been a journey guys, we’ve shot several pilots, written a lot of proposals, and developed several treatments, but it was basically one rejection after another…tulizungushwa aki 😂😂Until we decided to just do our own thing and that’s when God came through.”
