Raila’s ex-strategist unveiled for Kibra race after dumping ODM

Raila Odinga’s ex-chief strategist Eliud Owalo was on Wednesday unveiled for Kibra Parliamentary by-election race under ANC Party.

Owalo who ditched Raila’s ODM was unveiled by the ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi together other Party officials.

The Nairobi based consultant will face off with a number of candidates from Jubilee, ODM and other parties.

Elsewhere in Jubilee party, the seat has attracted candidates among them footballer Macdonald Mariga,  Morris Peter Kinyanjui, Walter Trenk, Said Ibrahim and Doreen Wasike.

ODM on the other hand has cleared 11 candidates who will be battling out in the Party’s nomination exercise scheduled for Saturday 31st.

Owalo’s candidature is going to revive the rivalry between Raila and Mudavadi who were both in Nasa during the 2017 General election.

The Kibra seat became vacant following the death of MP Ken Okoth.
