Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Sunday blasted K24’s Anne Kiguta claiming that he is not her husband.
Speaking on Punchline, Sonko said that he holds nothing against women, despite his choice of words.
“Even wewe, mimi si bwana yako, that is a reality, sio matusi!”( Even you, I’m not your husband, that is not an insult but the reality)
Kiguta had compelled Sonko to explain why he always pick fights with women leaders including; Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, Former Nairobi Education CEC Janet Ouko and Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris.

The public spat between Passaris and Sonko began on Madaraka Day after the woman rep criticized the governor. Sonko’s response saw Passaris walk out of the celebrations in protest.
Later, an online smear campaign against Passaris emerged, including one on Facebook, where unsavoury remarks were directed at her. Sonko accused the MP of among other crimes wanting to defraud the county govt by asking for illegal allowances.
On the spat with Millie, Sonko said that he had to attack her inability to give birth because she also attacked his manhood.
“Do you know what she said about me?…She started provoking me. Put yourself in my shoes as a man…someone accuses of you of commas,” Sonko said.
