Despite the expected significance of this exercise, Census in Kenya comes with many controversies. Many Kenyans do not understand why and how it works. Misinformation could lead to a breach of most Kenyan’s privacy. On the other hand, carrying out the Census process is not easy, imagine trying to convince people to let you into their houses for a national exercise. However, when duty calls one is left with no choice but to adhere and prevail through the tough moments.
A recent video has surfaced on social media of unidentified man, perceived to be a census enumerator; who was captured jovially jumping up and down while children cheered him on. The four children also rhythmically jump up and down as they repeatedly chant, βWatu ya census.β The enumerator then moves closer to the children to continue with the dance.
