Vocal Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has found himself in trouble with Kenyans after he cast a doubt in the office of Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti following the arrest of Nandi senator Samson Cherargei.

Cherargei was arrested on Tuesday over inciting remarks where he threatened to ‘deal’ with critics of the Deputy President William Ruto which he stated that they were being ‘marked’ and ‘profiled’.

Although Sudi condemned Cherargei’s utterances, he hit on the DCI’s office for being selective in discharging its mandate especially in the fight against crime involving other top leaders in the government.

He questioned the circumstances under which cases involving Raphael Tuju’s leaked telephone conversation with Former MP George Nyanja on the Kiambaa Church killings was never acted on.

“I want to ask DCI Kinoti to never be selective on how he is discharging his mandate. Former Molo MP Joseph Kiuna once talked badly but no action was taken. Again, Former MP George Nyanja and Raphael Tuju were caught on a leaked telephone conversation talking about reviving Kiambaa Church case with the aim of generating animosity between communities living in Rift Valley especially on 2007/8 post-election violence issue,” read a section of Sudi’s Facebook statement.

Sudi’s remarks have caused an uproar among social media users. Here are some of the reactions;
