Arsenal youngster Matteo Guendouzi has had a very positive start to life in London. The French midfielder was signed last summer from Ligue 2 in France and not many expected him to be a starter for the team.

Guendouzi, however, started 29 Premier League matches last season for the Gunners and largely impressed as Unai Emery’s team made significant improvements in the first season without legendary manager Arsene Wenger.

The midfielder has started Arsenal’s two Premier League matches and has hailed the impact Arsenal’s two-star strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Aubameyang have on him.

”Aubameyang gives me a little punch on my left shoulder every morning, with his attacking colleague Lacazette, every morning. They are really important to me. They are like two big brothers ever since I arrived, they made it really easy for me, on the pitch and off of it. They are super guys,” He said.

The curly-haired midfielder further revealed Arsenal’s goal for this season and stated he is confident that with the new players brought in, The Gunners can achieve big things.

”We clearly have a better squad than last season with big signings this summer. We hold all the cards to have a great season and finish in the top 4 to be able to play in the Champions’ League next season,” he added.

Arsenal’s next match is a tricky away fixture to last season’s Premier League runners up and Champions League winners Liverpool.
