Law scholar Prof Makua Mutua has come out stating that the Deputy President William Ruto cannot make himself President or Prime Minister in 2022.

Prof Mutua has argued out that in the Kenyan political atmosphere, the son of a peasant cannot just convince the people to back his presidential bid without seeking support from other political bigwigs.

Mutua has gone a head to state that Ruto must tame his Presidential ambition before 2022 or someone will else will tame it for him.

“My crystal ball tells me that either William Ruto will tame his ambitions before 2022 or they be tamed for him. No one can willy nilly make himself President or Prime Minister. You can take that to the bank,” Makau Mutua tweeted.

However, Makau Mutua has always been against Ruto’s presidency. Few days ago, he alleged that Ruto’s endless visits to churches and colossal amounts of money he keeps donating , makes him think he (Ruto) has more than what God has.

Every weekend, and sometimes twice on Sundays, Mr Ruto carpet-bombs churches in Central Kenya and Luhya country with wads of cash. The clerics have received the loot as though it was manna from heaven. The mullah isn’t in the thousands, but tens of millions of precious shillings. I should be forgiven for thinking that Mr Ruto has more money than God,” says Mutua said in an his opinion column in the Daily Nation.
