Music Copyright society of Kenya has been trolled over the past few days for paying peanuts to Kenyan artists as royalties. It confirmed that the body has been robbing millions from artists in the name of protecting them.

Artistes such as Khaligraph Jones, Willy Paul, Fena Gitu and even Sauti Sol have expressed more than just disappointment but downright anger at the nonsense monies they have received on Mpesa as payment of their royalties.

King Kaka took to social media mocking MCSK with their little pay of Ksh.2530, claiming to have sent him as a token for his ‘Bank on me’ foundation that provides needy young girls with sanitary towels. You bet this had Kenyans talking.
