Kakamega Homeboyz has signed two players from fellow Kenya Premier League side Chemelil Sugar. The team has already signed Nzoai Sugar winger Stephen Etyang on a 3-year deal.
To add on to that single capture, Homeboyz has signed Chemelil Left-back Vincent Mahiga and attacking midfielder Charles Okiya. Homeboyz Chairman Cleophas Shimanyula assured fans that the club is working on more signings before the new league season begins.
”We will have a very good squad next season. We have identified quality players who will join us. Some players are already training with the team but because we haven’t completed all formalities, we are not going to give names,” he said.
Chemelil Sugar, on the other hand, are on the verge of completing a deal for goalkeeper Daniel Kiptoo following the departure of Morgan Alube who joined National Super League side Vihiga United.
Kiptoo makes a return to Chemelil having played for the club before and has also featured for AFC Leopards, Muhoroni Youth, and Zoo Kericho.
Chemelil will kick off their new Premier League campaign with an away trip to Zoo Kericho on the 1st of September.
