Former ODM Political Strategist Eliud Owalo has officially dumped the orange party with immediate effect.
According to the politician, his ideologies and beliefs no longer identify with ODM and there is no iota of enthusiasm to warrant his continued stay in the party.
“It is with great regret that I write to inform you that I have with immediate effect relinquished my membership of the Orange Democratic Party.” Reads part of a letter sent to the Registrar of Political Party and seen by Opera News.

Mr Owalo, a renowned management consultant, served as the head of Mr Odinga’s 2013 presidential campaign secretariat and chief campaign manager.
Owalo is rumoured to be currently eying the Kibra Member of Parliament seat which he lost to the late MP Ken Okoth during the parliamentary nominations after garnering 1,288 votes against Okoth’s 7,712 votes.
In a recent interview, he, however, refused to declare his candidature saying that he will only make his position clear after the seat is declared vacant.
“I do not want to talk about a non-existent seat,” Mr Owalo said.
“As we speak, the seat still belongs to Ken Okoth because the Speaker has not issued the writs declaring it vacant. Once the same takes effect, I will scan the operational environment and respond appropriately to the factors in play and the issues emerging therein,” he added.
