Deputy President William Ruto has told off his political rivals warning them that they cannot succeed in confusing Bomet residents who already have their own stand.
Speaking on Thursday during the Inauguration ceremony of Governor Hillary Barchok, Ruto said that he was so sure that the people of Bomet cannot be easily confused with drama and noise.
“I know from experience that it is not easy to confuse people of Bomet with drama, noise and those other chaotic things. They are very clear about what they want. They can make informed choices and they know the difference between noise, drama and developments” Said Ruto.
The DP advised the new governor to make good friendship with Bomet residents, his Office as well as the office of the President in order to have the county benefit from various developments.
Ruto’s remarks were echoed by the late Laboso’s husband Edwin Abonyo who termed Ruto’s dominance in Bomet as solid and unquestionable.
His sentiments came just two days after former Bomet governor Isaac Ruto together with other former leaders from Kericho and Bomet counties met ODM leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill office.
The meeting was touted as a push to secure the power vacancy in Bomet County, following the passing of former governor, Joyce Laboso.
