Kenyans on Wednesday took to the social media to express their impression on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s highly honoured event which he presided over in Jamaica.

Uhuru Kenyatta was honoured to lead the Jamaican leaders in the launch of celebrations to mark International Decade for People of African Descent in Kingston which saw thousands of enthusiastic Jamaicans travel from across the country to attend the historic event in the country’s capital city.

Uhuru, who was the chief guest at the event of the colourful event, received a grand welcome for the event. He later said that he was honoured to represent the African continent at the launch of the important celebrations.

“It gives me great pleasure to declare Jamaica’s commemorations to mark the United Nations Decade for People of African Descent officially open,” said President Kenyatta.

Kenyans who have taken to the social media to express their excitement congratulated the president for the representing Kenya in the high-end event that strengthened Kenya’s ties with the outside world.
