President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit to Jamaica has been received with a lot of hype and expectations from Kenyans especially in regard to the issue of legalization of Marijuana in the country.
Uhuru on Monday held bilateral talks with his host Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness in Kingston and later signed MoUs on technical cooperation in tourism and in the fields of sports, culture and heritage as well as a framework of cooperation between the two governments.
Kenyans, however, believe otherwise as they took to the social media to express their excitement over the meeting. Majority of netizens still believe that Uhuru traveled to the country t negotiate deals to legalize Marijuana.
This comes few days after Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko promised to ensure that Uhuru’s brings clean bhang from Jamaica if it is legalized in Kenya.

Sonko was speaking during Ken Okoth’s memorial service held in Kibra where he urged MP Babu Owino to take up the task and ensure that bhang is legalized in Kenya.
“Huyu ndugu yetu (Ken Okoth) alitaka kulegalize marijuana na tunasikia bhangi iko na dawa ya cancer. Mheshimiwa Babu Owino na wabunge vijana endeleeni na hiyo mswada bhangi ikuwe legalized,” Sonko stated.
