Dr Stella Nyanzi has been found guilty and convicted on the charge of cyber harassment by Buganda Road Grade One Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu.
Dr Nyanzi who has been on remand for more since November last year, was accused among others of disterbing the peace of President Yoweri Museveni and his late Mother Esteri Kokundeka.
She has however been found innocent on charges of offensive communication.
Dr Stella Nyanzi never got to defend herself in this trial, as none of her 20 witnesses she had lined up showed up to testify
She now faces a fine of Shs 1.4 m or prison not exceeding 3 years
