City Lawyer Nelson Havi’s efforts to get his client Kiambu Ferdinard Waititu off the hook seems to be attracting him bad publicity as Kenyans are now faulting him for defending graft suspects which amounted to supporting the war against corruption.
The social media uproar has forced Havi to come open and defend himself against the attack arguing that it is unfair for Kenyans to criticize him and calling for Waititu’s resignation even before the court had declared him guilty.
He further noted that the same Kenyans are pretentiously forgetting other senior government officials who have been convicted but were still in office.
“Kenyans are gullible in their castigation of some of us who uphold the rule of law. They have forgotten that Fred Matiang’i, Gordon Kihalangwa and Joseph Boinnet were found to have violated Article 10 and Chapter 6, convicted and fined. The three are still in public office! ” read Havi’s Tweet.

His client Governor Waititu who was released on tough bail on Tuesday is facing charges of Sh588 million tender which was irregularly awarded to Testimony Enterprises Limited.
However, his post doesn’t seem to calm to the anger as it landed him in more trouble while attracting more fiery reactions from Kenyans;
We are gullible for calling you out as you defend those who plunder our taxes with reckless abandon?
Who bewitched you?🤔

You lost any moral authority to speak out against corruption the moment you choose to pocket blood money, legal jargon aside.
