Maeni Girls and Kobala Girls are through to the Copa U16 semis after overcoming Itaara and Waa Girls respectively in the second pool B matches played at Kisumu Polytechnic Grounds on Wednesday morning.
Maeni from Central thumped Itaara from Eastern 8-0 to storm into the semi-final.
Noela Aruko scored four goals while Totolo Susy grabbed a brace. Nanjala Annety and Makamu Annet scored one each.
In the other Pool B Kobala overcame Waa Girls 2-1. Ivyone Andawa came off the bench to score twice for Kobala while Fridah Chiwaya scored the consolation for Waa.
Kobala and Maeni are through to the semis having beaten Itaara 8-0 and Waa 3-2 on Tuesday respectively.
In the boys’ pool B category, Boystown from North Eastern and Dagoretti qualified for the boys after overcoming Machakos Boys and Agoro Sare respectively.
Boystown thumped Machakos Boys 6-1 to add to Tuesday’s 1-0 over Agoro Sare. Abdulahi Siyat and Isaiah Mohammed grabbed braces each while Mohammed Abdi and Isa Mohamed scored a goal each. Nicholas Kioko got the consolation goal for Machakos.
Dagoretti overcame Agoro Sare 2-0. Hezekiah Omuri and Okoth Jesse scored the goals for the Nairobi region representative.
