Arsenal fans’ negative feeling towards their center-back Shkodran Mustafi is growing stronger by day. This is after a review of record signings that have been done at Emirates.
Currently, the Gunners are in dire quest for the signature of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe. And according to reports, the London-based club have reached an agreement with the French Ligue 1 side for the Ivorian in a deal worth 80m euros (£72m), an amount that will be paid in installments.
If the deal goes through, the 24-year-old will be the most expensive player at Emirates so far, followed by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £60, Alexander Lacazette (£52.7), Mesut Ozil (£42.5), Shkodran Mustafi (£35), and Alexis Sanchez (£35).

Interestingly, Arsenal fans would not stand the name of their own Mustafi appearing on the list as they wished his transfer fee was lower than the listed.

Mustafi was meant to be £3.5m but the accountant messed it up.

Can you believe that? Lol it’s crazy!
I have just seen Monaco might want him for €30mill … if we manage to get rid at a small loss, that’s incredible 😂— Jack Michael Hone (@JackHone01) July 29, 2019

This is not the first time the 27-year-old German defender is being blasted by fans as he also received all sorts of criticism from fans and pundits for his unconvincing attempt to stop Aguero in the build-up to the goal in their Carabao Cup last year February.
