It is bad news to graduates who thought that Akothee Safari’s Nairobi branch will offer perfect job opportunities to them as Akothee announced that she does not employ graduates.

Akothee takes pride in her employees saying that even though they do not have degrees, they work diligently.

I am on the hang of the hover today , but must work, hey this lady has been working for me for 5 years , yet she came with 0 experience, she can do anything, from farm to cooking. The problem with young generation now, they are looking for an office to slay ,they want to be associated with big names , I dont read CVS especially from graduates , full of rubbish , most of them I employed, cannot download what they have on papers to practicals 🙆🙆🤷🤷🤷, I am afraid some of them looks like they bought exams or someone sat the papers for them , as a parent I am worried 🤔😭🙉🙈, I have employed more than 20 graduates that I had to release on the first month 🤔

Akothee’s fans reacted on her story blaming the Kenyan education system which produces incompetent graduates who have no idea of what the job market requires from them. Others criticized her for stereotyping graduates.

Tatizo la taifa hilo wanafunzi nowdays wanachowaza ni kuiba mitihani mbaya zaidi baadhi ya uongozi shule unasaidia ktk wizi huo ili zionelane zinafanya vizuri zao kama hili wakifika college they doing the same thing hawawazi kwamba kuna maisha baada ya kufeli mtihani ,all they think about is 1st class while there is nothing in the brain

That’s sad truth but still there are some that know what they’re doing

@akotheekenya I think the problem with the employers is overrating graduates thinking they can do everything… They are also human and can make errors… 🙄🙄😌😨😨😱🙄😨😨😱
So tusisomee ama n nn unasema madam boss ‘ na vile nilikuwa nitume application ya job kwako ,,,,,, @akotheekeny

But you have taken your kids to this same university to ‘graduate’. Why are people so bitter with graduates

Every job has a learning curve. If you fire people on the first month then there is a big leadership problem in your organization. Results are not instant or you just hired the wrong graduates a flaw in the recruitment process of the organization which needs to be checked.

You dont want graduates yet your kids are in school getting those degrees? I’m sure if she had that paper you would have considered her for a higher position other than just cooking and farming. Lets appreciate everybody who tries; with or without degrees, all that matters is the drive on a individual level. Again, if you release someone new after one month, then you were not patient enough. It takes more than a month for someone on their first job to learn the process.
