A young girl in need of a bone marrow transparent in India has won hearts on social media with a poem appealing for help from First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.

In the video shared on Facebook by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Faith Mwendwa introduces her aplastic anaemic condition explaining how it has affected her academic performance that she can no longer attain quality grades.

“My chubby cheeks and swollen body are not as a result of good health but anaemia that has additionally given me a rare skin colour”, she narrates.

She goes further to explain the process of braving painful injections and blood transfusions during her habitual visit to the hospital.

Her sentimental poem has not only attracted the attention of Governor Sonko who promised to come to the poor girl’s help but also a good number of Kenyans who have camped on the governor’s page seeking ways to pass their aid.

“Someone sent this clip to me from 0722553479 but now not answering. So touching and willing to chip in as we wait for Her Excellency Mama wa Taifa to come back from Zambia. May the Lord heal her,” wrote Sonko.
