Kenyans on social media have heaped praise on national men’s basketball team, the Morans despite the defeat to Dr Congo in the FIBA Afrocan Championship final on Saturday night.
The Morans saw off several established sides on their way to the final where poor third and fourth quarters saw them earn Silver medals. Kenya lost 61-82 to the Congolese side.
Kenyans had high hopes of the team heading into the match against the Central African side. Kenya had dismissed established sides like Tunisia, Morocco to earn a final ticket and fans back home dreamt of an African title heading into Saturday night final.
Despite going doing down in the last hurdle, Morans’ perfomance in Bamako has earned them plaudits from Kenyans who took to social media to heap praise on the North Africans.
