The trap set by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission of Kenya (EACC) to arrest Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has missed the target.

This has elicited a lot of reactions from Kenyans on the social media streets who are insinuating that Waititu is playing ‘hide and seek’ with the EACC officers.

According to the early reports from the EACC officials,They have arrested 3 suspects in alleged KSh 588M tender scam. But they failed to nab Governor Ferdinand Waititu and his wife “at their known residences” at the time of planned arrests.

Social Media user by the name Njuguna Kimuhu has claimed that Waititu is maybe in Punjab University currently doing exams.

Even more interesting some people are ready to risk and hide Waititu till Monday. This is because if he is nabbed the Kiambu Boss will have to spend the entire weekend behind bars.

However not everyone is a friend of Baba Yao. Some are just praying that Waititu is nabbed and even jailed ‘forever.’

DPP Noordin Haji yesterday ordered the arrest of Governor Waititu and 12 other county employees over alleged graft.

In a statement, DPP Haji said the county officials will face charges of irregular award of tenders worth Sh588 million and embezzlement of public funds.

Others to be arrested include Governor Waititu’s wife Susan Wangari Ndung’u (director, Bienvenue Delta Hotel), Lucas Wahinya (chief officer roads, Kiambu County), and evaluation committee members Zakary Mbugua, Joyce Musyoka, Simon Kangโ€™ethe, Anselm Wanjiku and Samuel Mugo.
