They say there are no permanent political enemies, and now President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho have proved it right.

Just a few months ago, when Joho was not feuding with President Uhuru Kenyatta, he was after his Deputy William Ruto, or he will be battling it out with officers of the provincial administration. But this is no more.

During his visit to Mombasa on Tuesday where Uhuru was launching of Kenya Maritime Academy, he showered Joho with praises on the efforts he was making towards the beautification of the city.

He went on to express his satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing redevelopment of Mama Ngina Drive into a modern recreation park and the Kibarani beautification projects.

On Tuesday the President accompanied by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho visited the ongoing beautification exercise at Kibarani along the Makupa Causeway.

“For years, the Kibarani dumpsite was an eyesore and a public health concern to residents and visitors driving into Mombasa because of its location right at the gateway into the city,” read Kanze Dena statement.

It is just in the same event that Joho expressed his loyalty to Uhuru where he made a promise to never make unnecessary attacks against other leaders.

The only thing we will talk about on platforms is the war against corruption and the war that you started on corruption. (Kitu ambayo tutaropoka nayo kwa majukwaa ni vita dhidi ya ufisadi, vita ulivyoanza kuunganisha Wakenya), ” the Mombasa governor said.
