Allan Wetende Wanga is one of the most recognizable names in Kenyan football, with a professional career spanning as one of the top scorers for some of the best clubs in Kenya and beyond. He is also the top scorer in the Kenyan premier league, with a superb 18 goals for Kakamega Homeboyz, ahead of younger competitors such as Uganda’s Umaru Kasumba and Mathare United’s Clifford Nyakeya.
Allan Wanga has bowed out of international football. In a letter dated 8th July 2019, Wanga has appreciated the time he was given to represent Kenya and thanked the team, management and fans for the overwhelming support he got.

This comes at a time when Allan had recently landed a prestigious job from Governor Wycliffe Oparanya as a County Sports Director. He was to oversee and manage the development of sports in the talented Kakamega county.
Brenda Mulinya Wanga and Allan Wanga made their relationship official when they had a wedding in 2011. The two were later blessed with two children. And they have been serving couple gaols from the onset. In a past year, Allan penned an open letter on Facebook, thanking his wife Mulinya for putting up with him all this time. This what part of the post read;
“Marriage is the union of two hearts, strengthened by love, tested by quarrels, fortified by affection and hardened by life’s ups and downs.”
“The day that commemorates the wedding day is something worth the celebration. But you don’t have to stay with the norm. This is especially beneficial for those who are wedded for many years. Break the ice and add humour to your anniversary card wishes and messages together with the best anniversary gift ideas you could ever have.”
