Bob Collymore’s succession debate has heated up in the past few days after his unfortunate demise. Even before his body was cremated, the debate was hot among netizens and Kenyans in general.
The appointment of Michael Joseph as an interim Chief Executive Officer of Safaricom elicited mixed feelings and reactions as the new boss is yet to be appointed.
A new character has been brought into the debate, Safaricom’s Chief Customer Officer Sylvia Mulinge with many calling for her appointment. Unluckily for her, her run-in with the law on murder charges is fresh in the minds of Kenyans.
One netizen has been trolled for supporting her and demanding for her appointment. He even threatened to boycott the telecommunications giant if his demands are not met. Safaricom does not strike deals with terrorists and Kenyans clearly weren’t amused.
I won't buy Safaricom Airtime until Sylvia Mulinge is appointed as the CEO. It is about time we support our own. Michael Joseph is a step back

Slyvia Mulinge was denied a permit by the Tanzanian government… the lady is so corrupt and has no sense of humanity. NO WE DON'T WANT HER.

Sylvia mulinge already had a case of reckless driving that caused death of a minor. Michael Joseph steered safaricom from the grace to grace. Bob collymore picked up what joseph did and did it better. I dont see why he shouldn't pick up as the acting CEO.
