Kisumu based Kenyan Premier League side, Western Stima has completed the signing of nine new players ahead of 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League campaign.

Despite starting the 2018/19 campaign strongly, Stima ended up finishing the season in 13th position and this came after a change in coaching staff. Coach Paul Ogai was shown the door and his place taken by former Sony Sugar coach, Salim Babu.

The team has now moved to beef up the squad to avoid a repeat of last season’s poor run in the Kenyan Premier League.

Among the new faces in the team is Ugandan striker Villa Omrachan who was expected to return to the club in March but the deal fell through. Another player moving to the side is Kisumu AllStars midfielder who equally saw his move to Stima in March fail to materialize.

Stima has also raided cash-strapped Kenyan Premier League side Sony Sugar for four players. They are; midfielders Apollo Otieno formerly with Tusker FC and Abdallah Wankuru.  The others are defenders Kelvin Motsosi and Kennedy Odhiambo.  The others are Henry Onyango an attacker from Kariobangi Sharks, Lucas Waitere a winger from Chemelil Sugar and Vihiga United striker Amos Kigadi.
