Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama is turning 28 today. While he may have hoped his birthday come after a brilliant opening win in the African Cup of Nations league, that is not the case.
A lot of attention was on the Tottenham star during their Sunday game against Algeria because of his already star power so the 2-0 loss garnered him quite a bit of hate.
Let’s hope his birthday cheers him up and motivates him to do better in Kenya’s next game as may have showered him with warm wishes on his big day.
Just two years ago, the star midfielder spent his birthday mentoring Kawangware kids and playing a friendly with them. He took turns to play with each of the different age group teams, starting off with the Under-6, Under-11, Under-15 and Under-17s as well as the girls’ team.

His birthday comes just a day after the King Lionel Messi’s 32 year birthday. June is clearly the month when legendary footballers were born.
