Mt Kenya Leaders Warns Ruto Over DCI Summon to Region’s Cabinet Secretaries

A section of Mt. Kenya leaders have warned Deputy President William Ruto and his allies against plans to sabotage the region’s economy through subsequent attacks of politicians from their area.

Through a press release to media house, the leaders who defended the four Cabinet Secretaries claimed that the CSs who include Trade and Industrialization Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya,  Transport minister James Macharia, ICT boss Joe Mucheru, and Health CS Sicily Kariuki are being targeted since they belong to the area and are a threat to Ruto’s 2022 succession.

The leaders who questioned behind the CSs summon argued that the decision meant to intimidate them due to their allegiance to the President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“It must be understood that meetings that CS Munya, Mucheru, Kariuki, and Macharia are being accused of holding are as a result of the Naivasha meetings on how to ensure Mt. Kenya gets its fair share of development projects’, ‘read part of the statement.

Deputy President William Ruto alleging that there is a group of Cabinet Secretaries who are plotting for his assassination.

Four ministers have so far been summoned by DCI officer Michael Sang with claims that Dr Ruto had linked them to a secret plot to eliminate him.

 

Such remarks are coming in while the party is facing the greatest rift with some MPs threatening to withdraw their monthly contributions to the party to push for the sacking of Tuju. The MPs are accusing Tuju of plotting to undermine Ruto’s 2022 presidency.
