The user had re-posted the story which was run by the Nation newspaper in the year 2013 concerning a witness account of a Truck driver who had witnessed the horror action of how the church was set ablaze in 2008.

In the story, a truck mechanic who had traveled all the way from Mombasa to Eldoret in 2008 to repair a truck belonging to a client narrates how he encountered a group of rowdy youths who later led him to the scene of crime in Kiambaa grounds in the process witnessing the horrible action.

According to the users who condemned the action, those who were concentrated in reminding them of the unfortunate event had no good intentions or the victim’s families at heart but rather a different intention of dividing the nation.

Many wondered the intentions of such posts at the time the country was fast healing from such mistakes. Many also put into question the meaning of March 2018 famous handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga. According to some, the handshake was meant to heal and unite the country ahead of future general elections.

This comes at a time when audio alleged to be of Jubilee’s general secretary linking deputy President William Ruto to the Kiambaa church massacre has emerged online.

In the leaked viral audio Tuju and Senator of Kiambu County, George Nyanja, Ruto was heard being castigated for his quest of funding churches. Nyancha who is more vocal in the leaked tape, claims that Ruto pretends to be holy yet he orchestrated the burning Kiambaa Church in the 200/2008 Post Election Violence which saw people burned alive while seeking refugee

On Saturday while speaking at Namanjalala Friends Secondary school in Tranzoia county, the angry Deputy President William Ruto broke his silence over the alleged audio asking the Jubilee party officials not to be used to breed hate, division and ethnicity in Jubilee but instead concentrate on building the party’s agenda and fostering unity in the country.

The Deputy President and his allies previously claimed that Tuju was part of a team that was keen on scuttling his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022

Although Tuju has distanced himself from the viral audio terming it a fake, controversial city lawyer Miguna miguna has joined the calls in urging Tuju to quit his position at the party.

Miguna on Sunday through his tweeter account claimed that one of the voices in the audio indeed belonged to Tuju.
