Harambee stars is taken through orientation by CAF

The Kenya national football team, Harambee Stars, as well as the officials were yesterday taken through the pre-tournament orientation of the upcoming AFCON in Cairo which was carried out by the African governing body, The Confederation of African Football CAF.

The Harambee Stars captain and Tottenham midfielder was handed a handbook that contains all the detailed information of what is expected of them while the facilitator of the meeting insisted of the importance of cooperating with the national broadcaster.

The Sebastian Minge boys landed in Cairo on Tuesday from France where they had been training for the last three weeks in preparation for the tournament as they ready for their first clash against Algeria.

They also carried training in Cairo near the Air Defence Stadium where they will be playing their Group C matches against Algeria which is their first match of the competitions to be played on Sunday, immediate neighbours, Tanzania and Senegal to be played on 27the June and 1st July respectively.

It is the 32d edition of the richest tournament on African soil where Stars will be participating for the first time after fifteen good years absence with the Football Kenya Federation President, Nick Mwendwa expressing his optimism that the team is going to give their best following their extensive training which h born fruits as evidenced in their pre-Afcon friendlies.

Former Premier, Raila Odinga also paid a surprise visit to the national team in the company of Devolution SC Eugene Wamalwa and Kenya Ambassador to Egypt Joff Otieno.
