Spanish Legend Fernando Torres has retired from football after 18 years playing at the highest level. The former Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea’s striker is one of the few players to win the World Cup, European championship and the UEFA Champions League.

Torres enjoyed some memorable moments in his illustrious career but none was more important than his goal in the 2008 European Championships final match against Germany. Torres was fed a perfect through ball by Xavi Hernandez and he lobbed Jens Lehmann to give Spain their first title.

That team would go on and dominate World football, they won the World Cup in South Africa in 2010 and completed a consecutive treble by defending their European crown in 2012 with Torres again scoring in the final as Spain beat Italy 4-0.
