We are tired of you! Barcelona gives their final assessment about Matthijs de Ligt after realizing that the star has blatantly refused to join them this season.
Barcelona have found fault with the star and describes him as a player with an ‘arrogant attitude’, not of a standard nineteen-year-old who has just been recognized in elite football.
For a long time now, De Ligt has been hitting the headlines regarding his transfer news this summer. The 19-year-old has captured everyone’s attention to a point that many have been left in darkness regarding which team he will be playing for in the next season.
While clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool have been heavily linked with the star, Barcelona have for a long time remained the favourite to sign the promising young defender.
The Spanish giants have already signed Ajax superstar Frenkie de Jong and the Nou Camp club had reportedly verbally agreed on terms with the player after meeting with his agent Mino Raiola.
But things have apparently changed in a span of less than a month with a recent statement stating that De Ligt has been hesitant to sign for Barcelona due to the presence of Barcelona defender Gerard Pique. The young Ajax captain is not ready to play second fiddle to anyone.
However, Barcelona have continued to pursue the star but remaining adamant that they won’t increase the offer they had earlier presented.
But according to the latest report, Barcelona have given up on the star and have found serious fault with the player’s attitude, confirming that the player seems to have shifted his mind to another club.

Until now, no one knows which team De Ligt will be playing for in the next summer. After their Nations League match against Portugal, the Dutchman stated that he will make his final decision after a vacation that he is currently in.
