Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko lost it during the Madaraka day celebration after at Pumwani police grounds. While giving his speech Sonko noted that he was okay spending his money however and to whoever he feels like.
According to Sonko while addressing the crowd he directed his speech to his counterpart Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris where he noted that she was on the right track executing her projects to build toilets in Nairobi.
“We are going to help and assist you in your projects to build toilets in Nairobi, It is true you came to the office and we had a conversation together with the County executive, but Madam Woman Rep you are not above the law.” Noted Sonko.
He further noted that it was not Okay to politicise development as his Woman Representative did.
In addition, he bashed Esther Passaris making it clear that he has no problem spending his money as he has enough and the little Passaris has she might as well spend it on Children’s home.
As if that was not enough he further asked Passaris to leave all his projects alone and to stop complaining that he was not picking her calls as he was a busy person and not her husband.
It was not long enough for Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris to give in to Governor Sonko’s humiliation as she stood and walked out of the event.
However, Kenyans on Twitter had reactions following the incident
I wonder where civility of leadership disappeared to. Very uncouth for Sonko
