Senegalese forward and Liverpool sensation, Sadio Mane has confirmed his readiness to stay with the Reds for the rest of his life as he is unlikely to find a club as ‘sexy’ as Liverpool whom he joined in 2016.
In a remarkable and candid interview with Anfield legend Robbie Fowler, the Reds forward opened his heart to reveal the never before spoken details of his life.
Fowler, a self-confessed Liverpool fan pressed him on Real Madrid’s interest which has been strong all year with the former England man saying he’d love to see Mane winning trophies with the club for a “long, long time.”
And the Senegal striker replied with a huge grin when he said: “I hope as well. There’s no place like it.”
Fowler pushed him further when he added: “That semi against Barca, for me it was the best ever night at Anfield. Yet you keep getting linked with Real Madrid. After a night like that.
And Mane jumped in quickly to deliver the words every Liverpool fan longs to hear when he added:
“Yes, incredible. So incredible. I think after these kinds of things, you won’t go anywhere else, because we are the best club and the best fans, so I think this is something incredible…”
Mane opened his heart to Fowler, detailing his impossible fight to even be a footballer, as it is rumoured his father wanted him to be a teacher, and his desire to help heal serious wounds across the world, by being a role model for all people as a high profile Muslim.
But it was his description of Liverpool as the ”sexiest” club that had Fowler laughing uproariously when he said: “This is what makes Liverpool so special, because since I came here it is like, wow.
“The first time the boss called me, I said: ‘Oh!’ Because before, I have one brother in Senegal, he was saying even when I was still at Salzburg, ‘I want to see you at Liverpool’.
“I still remember, he was always saying: “You don’t know about Liverpool, it is a sexy club!’ He was telling me all the time, ‘in Europe, it is the only club, the sexy club…’

“He used to tell me that, and now, he’s telling me, ‘I told you, I told you’. And I never believed that I could play for Liverpool, and even now, I can’t believe it.”
Mane’s confession brings to a stop all the speculations that were linking him to Real Madrid where the manager, Zinedine Zidane was targeting the star as he embarks on an overhaul of the club after recording a poor season run.
