Deputy President William Ruto, the most controversial man in Kenya at the moment, started off his famous Tanga Tanga travels with a tour of Nyamira County in Nyanza Province on Friday.
The DP launched the Laid the construction of West Mugirango Technical Training Institute and also opened the CDF offices in the West Mugirango constituency.
“Technical training provides youth with appropriate and adequate skills, which are directly applicable in the workplace. It increases competitiveness; promotes access to the labour market; fosters social inclusion and enhances self-employment.” Read a post on his Twitter handle.

Despite being a Friday, thousands of people turned out to welcome the self-proclaimed hustler, in a region perceived to be Raila Odinga’s stronghold.
The visit comes a day after Ruto controversially donated Raila Odinga to the UK, as one of the potential candidates to replace outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May.
On Thursday, during the annual National Prayer Breakfast at Safaripark Hotel, the DP said that Kenya has a retired Prime Minister who could be very useful in the UK.
“We have a retired one in Kenya and since the Constitution has abolished that position in Kenya, and he may not have it anytime soon, we will send you his CV, maybe you can consider,” he said.

This was in response to UK-based preacher Lord Michael Hastings who had earlier during his sermon wondered in jest whether Kenya could spare one of its leaders to take up the British PM job.
“We are just wondering if you have a spare prime minister around,” Hastings, a member of UK’s Upper House, said.
The news has not been received well by The ODM Party. Edwin Sifuna said Ruto is “sustaining a petty, juvenile and ill-informed political onslaught on Raila.”
“Even the solemn occasion of prayer for the nation’s many problems for him was but another platform to take another swipe at Odinga,” he said during a press conference at Orange House.
How about DP Ruto first deals with the CVs of the millions of jobless youth we have in our country. He promised millions of jobs in Jubilees first term and even more in the second but he appears only keen on RAOs CV. https://t.co/LkUGYtWxLv

“We wish to make it clear that we are not prepared for empty sloganeering and promises of unity that do not translate to tangible results among the people.”
Ruto will lead three different church fundraisers in Nyamira and Kenyans are waiting to see how he will be received.
