Murkomen congratulates Aisha Jumwa for losing her bid against ODM

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has congratulated controversial Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa after she lost her bid where she was barring Orange Democratic Party from kicking her out of the party.

While talking to Twitter Senator Murkomen noted that Ms Jumwa’s loss was for a good course since she is no longer with the GOLDM.

“Congratulations to my client for your well-deserved victory at the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal. Your enemies in GOLDM were hanging on a hopeless, primitive&archaic strategy to intimidate you.

Your victory is the victory of democracy & equality before the law.”

Ms Jumwa had filed a case at the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal after she was expelled from ODM for what she was accused of gross misconduct.

On Friday the tribunal declared the proceedings invalid and decision by ODM to expel the her

Jumwa maintained the decision to expel her from ODM was unfair and should be reviewed.

Jumwa, through lawyer Hillary Sigei, told the Political Parties Tribunal that the punishment was outrightly unfair, excessive and ought to be revised.

The tribunal also heard that the disciplinary committee was not properly constituted, thus any decision made thereafter was illegal, null and void.

Before expelling her, the party accused the MP of advancing the interests of another party by openly campaigning for the Deputy President William Ruto to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he retires.
