The prayer event that cuts across all denominations in Kenya including Christians, Muslims and Hindus will be an occasion to pray for theĀ  Nation.

According to a statement from the Statehouse, this year’s prayer breakfast will be graced by His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit of the Republic of South Sudan.

This will be the 17th breakfast prayer meeting in the country. Similar functions are also conducted in the US.

Several county heads want the implementation of devolving the prayer fete so as they can be conducted at the county level as well.

However, Kajiado county was the first to conduct its prayer meeting with stakeholders earlier this year.

The funds used to run this event does not come from the taxes but from different prayer groups in the country.
