President Uhuru Kenyatta is leading the nation at the 2019 National Prayer Breakfast at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.

The annual event brings together leaders to reflect and pray for the country. This is the 17th National prayer day .

The event follows another one that happened at the same venue that brought together leaders from different political affiliates. ODM leader Raila Odinga, President Kenyatta and his deputy Dr William Ruto reconciled at the event following the disputed 2017 general elections.

However, Kenyans have read malice in the event.

Most Kenyans are now accusing the government for holding the event in private hotels if it really means good for Kenyans.

Some are saying that the event is a scam since public money is normally set aside for a few individuals to eat.

Some say that it is of no use for a country like Kenya to set up a National prayer day annually only for them to live like Soddom and Gomora.
