Heavy Traffic In The City as Uhuru Arrives at CBD’s Jamia Mosque

Expect a huge traffic snarl-up in the City Centre after the State confirmed that President Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed he would be having dinner at Jamia Mosque in the CBD.

The head of state is expected to be accompanied by a contingent of security detail and a host of other senior Government officials.

So far, a heavy police presence has been witnessed at the City, with Banda Street being closed down entirely.

Greater inconveniences are expected to occur once the President sets foot in town, and the damage is expected to continue for the entire time he would be having dinner at the historical mosque.

Further, the other guests expected at the venue are Deputy President William Ruto who will be having a convoy of his allies tagging along to the Presidential function.

The Presidential Security Team is known for their attention to detail as they rarely take chances.

In 2017 at the height of a heated political campaign, a member of the crowd somehow manoeuvred his way to shake hands with President Kenyatta.

Reports indicated that an irate commander of the Presidential Protection Unit would shuffle the entire protection team and enlist the services of new officers.
