Tanzanian legendary musician Mwana FA has blasted the actions of his counterparts of holding an Islamic meal of ‘Iftar’ in a luxurious place.
The holy month of Ramadan is ongoing and Muslims all over the world are fasting. The iftar is the evening meal for breaking (fasting) during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
In Kenya and neighboring country Tanzania, celebrities have been seen flaunting delicious food on their social media pages which they take at the time of Maghrib which is evening.
But Mwana FA bashed people who celebrated the month by forgetting those in need and those who have not been blessed enough in the society.
The purpose of the holy month is one of the five pillars of Islam, which also include prayer and charity. To fast, Muslims abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and engaging in sexual activity from dawn to sunset.
The lesser in the community are always catered for through the charitable process and feeding them at Iftar.
This was, however, different from Wasafi’s Harmonize who conducted his Iftar the prestigious Serena Hotel in Tanzania where able people were invited.
from the pictures shared, there was no sign of any ‘lesser’ person in the community which contradicted the purpose of the Holy month.
Mwana FA has urged Tanzanians to remember the lesser in the community by helping them in the Holy month instead of having a luxurious meal in Hotels

In the same spirit, he has started an initiative of fundraising for those in need and he took to his Twitter to urge his fan to contribute.
