A controversial photo of Deputy President Dr William Ruto has seen a politician land in police custody.Police in Kiambu have arrested Weitethie MCA Julius Macharia for displaying image of DP Ruto dressed as Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces on a vehicle.

The MCA was in the matatu when police approached him and after a discussion he was taken into custody.
The driver of the 14-seater matatu, one George Ngugi, was also apprehended and the two will be presented in court on Tuesday.
The MCA and his driver were booked at Juja police station under OB 93/27/5/2019 at 2010hrs.
The details of arrest indicate that the vehicle displayed graphics of the coat of arms and national flag of Kenya thus “contravening section 3 (a) cap L.O.Kof the National Flag Emblem and Names of Act.”
