Kiambu deputy governor James Nyoro is wondering why the Court hurriedly released Waititu few hours after arrest despite his acts amounting to criminal acts.

Speaking during the Kieleweke tour in Kasarani, Nyoro wondered whether the Judiciary was compromised by the governor.

The two have been fighting over the control of county resources where waititu is accused of stealing public resources while neglecting the public duties.

Nyoro said that millions of money have been lost in Kiambu County as there is no accountability.

“Sometimes I wonder why the governor was arrested and hurriedly released, we would like to know what might have happened or whether the Judiciary was compromised,” He said.

Last week Waititu was arrested alongside her daughter and later released on sh 500,000 bail.

According to Nyoro, more Sh 200 million was siphoned from the county’s coffers.

“We want the court to ensure justice is done in the case filed by 10 MCAs from Kiambu County, “said Nyoro

The pressure is pilling for Baba Yao to resign over the absurd budget by his team.

Nyoro has been quiet for a while. However, it is not the first time he has rocked heads with his boss after point-blank plunder in the county.

“Waititu’s claim that he is not aware of how the allocations found their way into the documents are untrue because he ought to have had gone through the documents before signing them,” said Nyoro.

He says that Waititu cannot be allowed to be in the office as he will manipulate evidence before investigators come calling.

He called the leaders to support the President in his fight against corruption so that the Big4 projects can roll out without money being stolen. We especially emphasized that as determined by the Courts last week, any money whose origin cannot be explained must be forfeited to the state. Period.

We support the President and the work he is doing. The handshake has United the country and we will be supporting it fully.
