City tycoon’s ugly confrontation with Sonko lands him in hot soup

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has proved to be a man who stands with his promise, not only to do good but also bad.

On Saturday, Governor Sonko engaged in an ugly confrontation with a city tycoon in Buruburu phase 4.

The tycoon named as Nderitu is alleged to be the one behind the demolition of Kinda start academy which was also hosting City Church.

The drama brought about a fight between Sonko’s supporters and Nderitu’s supporters who were demolishing the school, leading to injuries.

During the confrontation, Sonko is said to have warned the tycoon affirming to him that the county will see to it that his car wash is brought down following his alleged involvement in the destruction of a school.

Currently in Buru Buru phase 4 estate to help sort out a land dispute case, after a private developer unlawfully attempted to demolish a church and school in the area this morning.

Speaking to the media, Sonko had divulged that Nderitu had called him asking him not to destroy his business, however the governor stood his ground condemning him for destroying the school and hurting the residents.

And on Monday morning, City Hall was already on Pimp my ride East Africa, the business owned by Nderitu.

According to City Hall, the car dealership car wash, which is located where Simmers used to be is noted to be an illegal structure.

However, the business owner identified as Nderitu laments that they were not issued with any notice pending the demolitions.

He further expressed his shock over the county government’s move to demolish the structure asserting they they have licences to carry out their business from that place.
