The fake gold scam which has implicated top Kenyan Leaders has taken the country by storm with the mentioning of popular politicians giving Kenyans a platform to express their views.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga recently came out to claim that he was the whistleblower to the whole scam that led to investigations being launched on the matter.
Controversial Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna who is still in exile now says the visit to Dubai by Raila was not to cool down the waters but to assure Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid that business is still in order.

Miguna claims that the probability of Raila going to solve issues in Dubai was slim and it was mostly in his favour considering his involvement in the fake gold business.
Since Matiang’i was implicated in the matter, Ruto allies have been plotting to use this predicament to impeach the CS for compromising on the internal security docket. This move was, however, stopped by William Ruto who warned his allies against impeaching the CS.
The president has remained mum on the matter since it blew up. DPP Noordin has asked the police to fast track investigations into the matter and perpetrators brought to book. A few people have already been arrested over the matter, Jared Otieno being one of them for conning a man over 300 million shillings.

On Friday, while claiming he was the scam’s whistleblower, Raila defended Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i against accusations of involvement. He said Matiang’i has no links whatsoever with the scam.
“In matters of this gold involving the Arabs (Dubai buyers), Matiang’i is as (clean) white as cotton,” Raila said.
Raila said he was the one who warned Sheik Al Maktoum that they were being duped. The ODM leader said he quickly discovered the person who posed as Matiang’i in a phone call with the Dubai buyer was a fake.
Raila said the caller promised the Dubai buyer that he would store the detained gold until the buyer accepts to pay the Sh200 million bribe to secure its release. Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has challenged Raila to lay bare the Audio he listened to in Dubai for the country to believe him.
