Chemelil Sugar were thrown into a hotter soup after their hosts Mathare United failed to show them any mercy in their second last match of the Kenya Premier League at Chemelil.
Mathare mastered their hosts from the first minute after the opening whistle and continued with their push towards the goal of Chemelil until they got their first goal in the 16th minute through Chris Ochieng.
Chemelil failed to convert their many chances and finally succumbed to a painful loss in this critical moment.
Mathare now jumps to the fifth position, two points ahead of Kakamega Homeboyz who have a game in hand.
Chemelil, on their side, will have to pray that Zoo Kericho and Posta Rangers lose their remaining matches while they win their last match to completely escape from the relegation.
